The Hair Clinic
As a medical dermatologist and hair loss expert, Dr Sharon Belmo runs a specialised clinic for hair loss and scalp conditions. The clinic offers an extended initial consultation time of up to 45 minutes to enable the doctor to delve deep into the hair loss history, medical history, family history, hair care history, medications and other factors that may have contributed to the hair loss or scalp condition.
During this time, a detailed examination of the scalp is also performed, with trichoscopic analysis and photography. Images taken are often then discussed, and investigations or treatments are recommended and or initiated.
Dr Belmo likes to involve her patients throughout their hair loss treatment journey and therefore likes to provide simple explanations ensure they are well informed about their condition and treatment. Dr Belmo treats all hair types, genders and ethnic groups. She has a particular interest and has undergone specialist training in Afro-textured hair.
